Fresh Summer Evening kit by SaraAmarie at 3 Scrapateers

I used papers from the Expecting Sweet Moments kit by Christy Lyle and Robin Carlton for this layout. The stitching is by Christy Lyle from her tagbook treasures kit.(both available at Sweet Shoppe Designs). This layout is a tad more 'busy' than my usual pages but the meaning behind it is so special to us. Gary and I have always supported the children in their musical adventures but have never pushed them or given them formal lessons etc. Incredibly they have all inherited his musical ability - and they all can play any instrument they pick up. Lauren wanted to play the violin since she was two years old, and she finally got the opportunity at school at the beginning of this year. I hadn't really heard much practising going on at home, and it wasn't until the other night that I realised that she could play some notes that didn't sound like a cat screeching LOL Gary and I were playing guitar when Lauren came in with her violin and wanted to play with us. Gary would call out each chord and she would play the note, perfect timing ... and it sounded beautiful! Play a song with an E she said, then play one with an F, now a C. The look in Gary's eyes was priceless - full of pride (just wished I had a camera in my hand instead of a guitar LOL). Now we have Jordan on drums (the noisy one), Nick on guitar or bass guitar, Gary on lead guitar, Lauren on violin (and keyboard soon I suspect) and me?.... guess I get to drive the bus LOL
