Almost winter

I thought we were never going to have a winter here - it's been way too warm and we've still been walking around in shorts,having the air conditioner on and wearing summer pyjamas. So it's wonderful that I'm sitting here at just after 6am and it's 12 degrees outside. Not exactly freezing mind you - but it does hold hope for cooler days to come. I miss having real winter days - the ones where you have to bundle up in jumpers and coats and boots to go outside. That was one thing I loved about living in New Zealand! My DS15 has to go out tonight for a school debating competition. I think I may have to go out in my lunch break and buy him a jacket or something. He doesn't have anything warm at all to wear,and I feel terrible sending him out in his thin cotton shirt which is the school uniform. I'd better buy it really large though - at the rate he is growing, I'd like it to be worn a few times at least!

Love it or Hate it?

Scary Movies - Hate them. I have nightmares!!

Amusement Parks - Love them. I can't handle the big rides any more, but I love seeing the family enjoy themselves. We live a few minutes from 3 big amusement parks, and have been trying to get to them a little more often.

Valentines Day - We don't celebrate it really.

Working out - I really miss it! I used to train for swimming,water polo and triathalons before I had children. Now my injuries have caught up with me,and I just can't fit anything in to my full time working/being a Mum life. Hope to get back to something some time in the future.

Tattoos - Hate them!

Guacamole - Love it.

Hillary Clinton - No thoughts at all about her.

Napolean Dynamite (- the movie) - Haven't seen it, but now that it's been brought to my attention, maybe I'd better hire it from the DVD store so I know what it's about!

Meat Loaf - Haven't had it for years! I think I used to like it??

Forwarded Emails (videos, stories, etc.)- I enjoy some of the funny stories and things, but I hate the chain mail ones about bringing you luck if you pass it on etc.

That's it for now. Gotta get the family up and ready for another day at school and work. Sure hope it stays cooler today!
