Big night out LOL

I can't remember the last time DH and I went out for dinner etc. Sometimes we are able to snag an hour or so while Lauren is at Scouts, but since he hasn't had any gigs we haven't been out at all. So tonight we went to the Casino for dinner and a few dollars on the pokies. Haven't been there for over 10 years, but it's still as flashy as ever. Guess who slipped and fell at the buffet with a plate full of food??!*! I could hear the ooh's and aaahs as I went down, not very glamorously, ending up covered in tartare sauce and fresh prawns! Before I could work out what happened, I was surrounded by staff and sat on a chair while they summoned security and the first aid officer. No major injury, thank goodness, just a sore knee, which was quickly adorned with a rubber glove full of ice :) They did give me a free coffee though which was so nice of them! It was great to get out and watch all the people. Lots of money being won and lost,and I was impressed by how clever the croupiers are with the card dealing. I still can't fathom how people could bet and lose a thousand dollars at a time without flinching! The highlight of my night was to put a dollar in a machine on the way out and win $20 before heading out the door. Last of the big spenders LOL I'd rather save my money for scrapping supplies at the moment!
