Sunday 30th April

We had a very early start to Sunday with Lauren waking us up at 4.50am. One of those instantly awake moments with your heart racing too. She was very distressed and crying complaining of pain in her chest, and pain when breathing. My mind started racing of all the things that could be wrong - had she just been sleeping awkwardly on her tummy? was it reflux/ indigestion?, was it croup or asthma? (neither of which she has ever had), or worse - was it her heart???. Gary's brother needed cardiac surgery at age 5 and for a brief moment or two I wondered if it could be hereditary... She was pale and clammy and sweating and it was really quite cool at that time of the morning. So - I spent an hour sitting and cuddling her, calming her down and trying to figure out what to do. I never did work it out - a couple of hours later she was back to her normal, feisty little self .... with me watching her closely for the rest of the day. As we were up early, we decided to go to the Markets, and then spent the rest of the day relaxing at home. I did manage to get a layout or two done too!!
